Sometimes in football, a loan move doesn’t work out, and all parties agree that a change is needed.

That proved to be the case for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir, who joined Nottingham Forest last summer looking for increased game time.

Instead, he struggled to break into Sabri Lamouchi’s side, managing just 390 minutes of football before electing to end his time at the club and seek out somewhere new.

That new club was Huesca in La Liga 2, and according to AS, he’s wasted no time in making his mark at the Spanish club.

Under a headline, ‘Rafa Mir dazzles’ the newspaper says the Wolves man has immediately made himself a crucial part of his new side.

They explain that he is fitting ‘perfectly’ into manager Míchel Sánchez’s team and has immediately rewarded him with two goals in his first two games, as well as seeing one ruled out.

Mir has ‘not noticed’ his lack of game time at Forest, instead hitting the ground running and becoming Huesca’s ‘great hope’ for the second half of the season.

That will be like music to the ears of everyone at Wolves, who will be delighted that after the disappointing spell at Nottingham Forest, Mir seems to have found his feet and confidence again.
