Wolves were planning €20-25m investment in January, now player’s club has big plans

Maybe Wolverhampton Wanderers should have signed Rogério from Juventus when they had a chance to.

Linked to the Brazilian back in the January window, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side were one of the clubs who were attentive to the player’s loan spell at Sassuolo.

Now as the summer market approaches, Juventus know they have a valuable player on their hands, and have a big plan in mind, according to Tuttosport today.

As the Old Lady fight to win the race for the Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, the club are planning to offer €50m plus Rogério, the newspaper says.

Ajax would be one of the clubs who like Rogério, and know that by signing the 21-year-old now, they could sell him for much more in the future.

Tuttosport says the clubs who wanted him in January, including Wolves, were planning an investment of €20-25m.

Barcelona are confident that they’ll get De Ligt, so maybe maybe Juve’s plan will have to change.
