Wolverhampton Wanderers plan to sell Chiquinho this summer, despite him impressing on loan at Famalicão.

That’s according to Record, who say despite the 24-year-old having a good year with the Portuguese side, to the point of arousing interest from Sporting Club de Portugal, Wolves have no plans to bring him back into the fold.

The 24-year-old has five goals and four assists in 27 games for Famalicão this season after joining in September, when a similar move to Stoke was cut short.

That’s not gone unnoticed in Portugal and Sporting are now exploring a move to bring him back to the club, after he played for them at various youth levels before being moved on earlier in his career.

He eventually ended up at Wolves in 2022 but things have not worked out for him there and he’s been sent out on loan to various clubs since.

This current loan deal has been his most successful but despite that, ‘Wolves plan involves selling him’, most likely back to Portugal. Sporting are one of the teams interested who are waiting to see what happens and there is also another unnamed Portuguese side in the mix too.

Wolves want to take advantage of his good performances on loan and sell to one of these sides as they look to boost the budget for Gary O’Neil and his team.
