The regular podcast from Portuguese newspaper Record today features an interview with Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Ruben Vinagre.
The fullback has talked about how the players got to the process of a lockdown, and also had a little to say about his dream of being in the Premier League.
Speaking of English football, the journalists have asked him if there are any managers he has nice stories about, or who he’d like to work with. But Vinagre hasn’t really fallen in that trap.
“I don’t think so. At Wolves, I watch football, and we get to know Klopp, Guardiola, Mourinho in the media. I really don’t know how they work, but I believe they work well because they have good results,” Ruben Vinagre told Record.
“I’m not very curious. Right now I’m really enjoying working with Nuno. Our technical team is fantastic. So I don’t think about it much.”
Vinagre has also been asked which Portuguese players he’d like to bring to Wolves, and the only rule was that he couldn’t pick Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though he was supposed to say three names, he could only name two… both Manchester City players.
“Ronaldo I cannot answer… it’s very complicated. Bernardo and Cancelo.”
It’s unlikely Wolves will be signing either of Pep Guardiola’s men in the near future, although given they’re both represented by Gestifute, Uncle Jorge Mendes’ agency, nothing can be ruled out when it comes to Wolves.
