Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined Nottingham Forest in the chase for Salernitana’s Lassana Coulibaly in the summer window.
The Tricky Trees made an approach for the 27-year-old in the winter market but that was turned down by the Serie A side.
Nottingham Forest are back in the mix and would have to battle it out with Wolves for his signature. That’s at least what Le Cronache, relayed by Salerno Notizie, are reporting.
It’s claimed both Wolves and Steve Cooper’s side have ‘started asking for information’ about the midfielder. The report doesn’t make it clear if the two sides have approached the Mali international’s entourage or Salernitana.
Either way, the Italian club seem to be willing to sanction his sale and have set a starting price of €8m. Nottingham Forest would be given another chance to land the player.
It remains to be seen if Julen Lopetegui’s side or Nottingham Forest are ready to meet Salernitana’s demands for Coulibaly in the summer.
The Malian has a contract until 2026 and he’s managed three goals and two assists from 33 league games this season.
