Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam, and have ‘started to move something’.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say that the Premier League side could ‘get into the thick of it’ at some point this summer.
Wolves are expected to be busy this summer, with Nuno Espirito Santo keen to add depth to his squad after an exhausting campaign.
Adding cover in defence could make sense, particularly in the full-back positions given the work they do in the Portuguese manager’s system.
And it seems one player on their list is Ghoulam, who Tuttosport say is on the way out of the Serie A side this summer.
His exit is set to become a ‘reality’, and Napoli have started to ‘move something’ with Wolves over a deal, although what that something is, isn’t made clear.
It’s implied that Wolves have simply made an enquiry about the player and are yet to get into the nitty-gritty of negotiations over a fee and whatever else.
On the face of it, the move makes sense given current first-choice Jonny Otto is looking likely to miss the rest of 2020 after suffering an ACL injury in the Europa League clash with Olympiakos.
