Even though it’s been a while since the Mexican media stopped with their many stories about Wolverhampton Wanderers, there’s a good reason why we’re back to seeing the Molineux side getting mentioned in local reports.
As written by TUDN, Wolves are one of the clubs in the race for Necaxa youngster Jesus Alcantar.
The outlet writes that several European clubs have been attentive to the 18-year-old, as up to eight sides have been in Mexico to watch his potential from close.
However, only two of them are actually named, and those are Wolves and Sporting.
There are not many details on how far the talks for his move out of Necaxa are going for now, and TUDN just makes it clear that Alcantar is not expected to stay at the club for much longer, given all this interest he’s been drawing lately.
Despite being a central defender, the youngster is being called the ‘Mexican Pogba’ for his passing skills.
He recently made his debut for Necaxa’s first team, after showing his quality for Mexico’s youth ranks for a while.
