Rafa Silva’s potential move to Wolverhampton Wanderers is a rumour which may have gone quiet in over the past week, but it doesn’t mean it’s dead.
As newspaper A Bola today talks about Benfica’s transfer market, they’re back pointing out that the Molineux side is one of the candidates to land the 28-year-old this summer.
Their story is mostly focused on the signing of David Neres, who’s landing in Lisbon once the Eagles finalise an agreement with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.
So speaking of another player for the position, A Bola writes that Rafa Silva remains a ‘doubt’ in the squad, as his permanence at the club is not guaranteed.
Then they claim that one of the clubs ‘with the winger referenced’ is Wolverhampton, who’ve been linked to him many times already.
Rafa Silva has 12 goals and 18 assists this season, and given his public dream of moving to the Premier League, the Portuguese media is often wondering if this will be his last chance of taking part in a big transfer.
He’s protected by a release clause worth €60m.
