On deadline day, even reports about nothing happening can end up being important news.

This is the case of a story from Catalan outlet Sport, who claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore should stay at the club for another season.

Despite recently links with many other clubs, with him living ‘weeks of uncertainty’, it’s said he ‘prefers to wait’ to see how Wolves’ campaign will go and then take a decision on his future.

The Molineux side are said to actually be preparing a new contract for Traore, and as the season unfolds, he’ll think about continuing at the club or go somewhere else, as he’s not been short of proposals.

Sport points out the winger has been ‘in the orbit’ of clubs such as Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

However, ‘if there is no last-minute news’, he’s ready to stay with Wolves for another year.

The player has just returned from a loan at Barcelona, but is already back on having a place at Bruno Lage’s side, having a goal in four appearances for the club this season.
