Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva is on the list of options at Sevilla as they look for a replacement for Youssef En-Nesyri.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the Spanish side could revive their interest in the Portuguese striker once En-Nesyri leaves.

The newspaper explains that Silva is seen as a player who would fit in perfectly with Victor Orta’s transfer strategy as he is young, could be signed on loan, and the sports director knows him ‘perfectly’.

He was keen on signing the youngster on loan in the January transfer window but lost out to Rangers and signed Alejo Veliz from Tottenham instead.

Their interest has not gone away, though, and the club have been watching the Wolves man for some time as previously director of football Monchi was also a fan.

A move this summer ‘makes a lot of sense’, particularly after the striker made it clear yesterday that he doesn’t want to return to Wolves this summer once his time at Ibrox is up.

He revealed in those comments that he also wants to play in Spain and has made that clear to his agents, potentially opening the door for Sevilla.

They need to sell En-Nesyri first but are aware of the striker’s situation at Wolves and have his name on the list of options to be explored.

Sevilla would almost certainly try to secure a loan with an option to buy.
