Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pablo Sarabia may be inadvertently fuelling transfer speculation by his continued efforts to remember Sevilla and his time there.

That’s at least if Estadio Deportivo’s latest report is anything to go by, as they insist the player ‘does not lose sight’ of his former team.

The newspaper reports that Sarabia remains ‘attentive to Sevilla’ and continues making gestures to his former club on social media.

The latest of these came this week as he got involved in the long goodbye to Jesús Navas, who is to retire in December.

He posted on social media ahead of a final game against Celta de Vigo this weekend and the Wolves man was among those sending ‘gestures and gratitude’ towards him.

He responded to a post from the full-back with two hearts and a sad emoticon, which Estadio have interpreted as him ‘showing he is still very interested’ in a player he played alongside for two season at Sevilla and alongside with Spain. It also seems to show he’s still interested in Sevilla.

Some of their fans picked up on the response and took the opportunity to ask him to return, something Estadio say has been on the table more than once since he left for PSG.

In fact, they happily point out that a few months ago in England it was report that he could leave Wolves in January due to a lack of playing time. This, they say, was fuelled by the fact his contract expires at the end of the season.

As far as they’re concerned, this latest show of affection demonstrates he ‘does not lose sight’ of Sevilla, where he managed 43 goals and 38 assists in 151 games.

It’s all wink, wink, nudge, nudge stuff ahead of January, but expect Sarabia and a return to Sevilla to very much be a thing in the coming weeks.
