Benfica star Talisca is expected to fly to England this Friday with negotiations with Wolverhampton reportedly reaching the final stages.

According to the Portuguese press, Benfica representatives (Record says Luís Filipe Vieira, O Jogo says Jorge Mendes) were in England this Thursday to seal the transfer. Wolves will pay €25m for the midfielder.

O Jogo say that Wolverhampton’s intention is to make an official presentation this weekend after the player already started following the club’s account on Twitter.

However, there’s only one small detail stopping the deal from happening which is his work permit. Record claim Talisca spent the whole of Thursday waiting for this to get sorted, but this never came through.

Despite this delay for his work permit, the South American was informed this could only be be done this morning, and subsequently this would enable him fly to the UK.
