According to reports in the Turkish media, Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a late move for Fenerbahce midfielder Josef De Souza.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to England in the past 12 months following West Bromwich Albion and Watford interest in the player.

Milliyet report Wolves have made a surprise €11m offer for Souza as the transfer deadline in England gets closer. Wolves were linked with Souza earlier in the transfer window, but since then their pursuit of the player has gone quiet.

Recent reports in Turkey suggest Fenerbache manager Philip Cocu is keen to keep the midfielder at the club after being impressed with him during preseason. However, the club’s board may look to sell due to Souza only having 12 months left on his contract.

It’s not been reported whether the Istanbul club will accept Wolves offer, but time is running out for the Premier League club if they want to bring him in.
