Malmo24 have claimed Wolves are showing an interest in Waasland Beveren defender Erdin Demir. The Championship side have busy in this transfer window, but could still bring in more players before next season, and this one doesn’t have a Jorde Mendes connection.

Dermir has been with the Jupiler League side for the past two seasons, and his performances for the Belgian club have brought him to the attention of others, including Wolves.

Ryan Bennett, Barry Douglas, Ruben Neves, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Roderick have already arrived at Molineux this summer, but Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo will likely add further to his squad.

The left backs’ agent Nima Modyr was quizzed by Malmo24 about the interest from other clubs, and he said: “It is quite natural for clubs to follow his development. We will see what happens in the coming days.”

Wolves will face competition to sign Demir, with reports Augsburg, Panathinaikos and Malmo are also showing an interest in the Sweden international.
