Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traoré is on Juventus’ radar, but they are facing competition from Manchester City for his signature.
Traoré is enjoying another superb campaign with Wolves, with a series of impressive performances and a tally of six goals and 12 assists so far.
That has earned him plenty of attention and made him the subject of several transfer rumours, with some of Europe’s elite sides thought to be looking at a potential move.
Juventus are one of those to have been named as an interested party and, according to Sport Mediaset, he is very much on their shortlist.
The Italian site reports that Juve have had ‘contact’ with the Wolves forward and that club chief Fabio Paratici has ‘probed’ a potential deal.
It’s explained he is on the club’s ‘market files’, but so far there has only been a ‘survey’ about a move, although this could lead to ‘new sudden developments’ at any point.
Should they make their move, though, they are likely to find themselves in a battle with Manchester City who it is stated also ‘like’ him, with Pep Guardiola having worked with him during their time together at Barcelona.
Wolves, for their part, are likely to ask for a big price – reports elsewhere have claimed they told Manchester City to pay €80m – and it’s made clear he wants to leave because he wants to play in the Champions League.
Juventus aren’t willing to ‘get stuck in an upward battle’ in that regard, suggesting they will not compete with City and their fortunes in any potential transfer saga.
