Fabio Silva is expecting to return to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season when his loan is up at Las Palmas.
The 22-year-old has five games left in Spain before his current deal is up, but a report from La Provincia states that it’s likely he won’t be back at Molineux Stadium for long.
The outlet reports that Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Stuttgart have all shown interest ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
But a run of 73 all competitions saw a return of just five goals. This led to loan moves to Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers, and Las Palmas, respectively.
With his contract not up with the Midlands club until June 2026, there is a real opportunity to cash in this summer.
In fact, La Provincia have disclosed that €25m would be enough to sign Silva in the forthcoming window, slightly more than half what they initial spent on the Portuguese.
Concerning the links to Atletico in recently, manager Diego Simeone admitted last week that he was an admirer of the player.
“Fabio is a guy who works hard, he is physically strong and makes a tremendous effort in everything he does in attack,” he told reporters, per Ojogo. “Any coach who has him is grateful for his work.”
