Wolves and Fulham are conducting a Portugal based scrap on more than one front.
Joao Palhinha is the main character in the saga, but there’s also a player at SC Braga who is of interest to both clubs.
Friday’s edition of O Jogo reports the two Premier League sides are keen on Al-Musrati, with both having been linked previously.
Around a week ago it was reported the midfielder was close to signing for Marco Silva’s side, before everything went quiet.
O Jogo believe this particular battle is a by-product of the Palhinha situation, with Wolves and Fulham having the Sporting player as first choice.
Should Palhinha move to the London club, which O Jogo feel is currently the likelier scenario, despite a late Wolves push, then Lage will move for Al-Musrati.
Fulham offered €8m to Braga ‘weeks ago’, but that was rejected because the club are looking for more than €12m.
The player is currently on holiday in Ibiza, waiting to learn what his future will be. Braga start preseason training on June 23rd, and he’ll want to have his situation defined by then.
