Amid Wolverhampton Wanderers’ efforts to get a new centre-forward signed by the end of the transfer window, here’s a new name for the list.
According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Wolves had Vitória Guimarães striker Jota Silva as an option.
The story is about the big attention the 24-year-old had been receiving, although his club is managing to keep him.
Wolves were along with Milan, Nantes, Villarreal, Nice and Toulouse in the battle, with some placing concrete offers, others making approaches and some just observing the player.
Jota Silva has nine goals and six assists in 25 appearances for Vitória Guimarães this season, and according to O Jogo, the Portuguese club did their best to keep him for the rest of the season.
A summer move is said to be possible, especially because his contract with the club expires in 2025. Now since many clubs had been looking at him as a late alternative, let’s see how many of them will be back for his transfer in the summer. Especially Wolves, who had so many names on their list.
