The Italian media have increased in confidence over the past few days when it comes to AS Roma signing Rui Patricio from Wolves.
Since Jose Mourinho took over at the Serie A club it’s been reported he wants to sign the Wolves goalkeeper. There had been suggestions in the media close to Roma that the club had purposely gone in low with their first offer for the Portugal international, to give them a chance to check out other, younger, possibilities for the position.
However, Mourinho was then said to have insisted it’s Patricio he wants above all other targets and therefore signing him has returned to being the priority.
This would present Wolves with the task of finding a new goalkeeper, and several have been linked.
Now there are claims from Turkey which report a serious interest in Uğurcan Çakır. Trabzonspor are willing to sell for a good offer, report Sporx, although they don’t make clear how much that would be.
Wolves are said to have been in contact with the player’s agent, to find out the money needed for a deal and to register their interest.
