Wolverhampton Wanderers could make a move for Napoli’s Hirving Lozano this summer if he does not renew his deal with the Italian club.
That’s according to Napoli Today, who say Bruno Lage’s side have been ‘following’ the Mexican ‘for some time’.
They explain that Lozano staying at Napoli beyond the end of this season is ‘not entirely a foregone conclusion’ as he is set to enter the final two years of his deal this summer.
The Serie A side would like to extend that, but if they are not able to find an agreement with the player, they could decide to separate from the player.
That would be a fairly easy process as he is currently managed by Mino Raiola, who would have no problem getting an auction going as that is his speciality.
He already knows there are teams ‘interested’ in Lozano in the Premier League, and one of those is Wolves, who have been following his performances for a while.
They could be on the hunt for a long-term replacement for Adama Traore this summer, should he leave Barcelona, and Lozano would fit the bill.
Should Wolves want to make a move, though, they will have to pay, with Lozano valued at no less than €30m if he is to leave.
At the minute, it seems they’re doing nothing more than showing an interest, but that could always change should Lozano not sign a new deal at Napoli.
