Previously linked with a move to Southampton, it appears that Alexander Djiku could in fact end up at Wolves.

It was previously stated that the Saints were after the Strasbourg defender, although they appear to have since moved onto Duje Caleta-Car.

RMC Sport stated that Djiku could leave the Ligue 1 side, with Sevilla and two English clubs (Southampton being one of them) pushing hard to sign him.

Well, that other Premier League side seems to be Wolves, as Foot Mercato claim they and Sevilla are ‘charging’ to sign the Ghana international.

Bruno Lage’s side appear to be letting Leander Dendoncker go to Aston Villa, meaning they will need to find someone to replace him, with Willy Boly also on his way to Nottingham Forest.

The French website ‘want to recruit’ Djiku, and could ‘make an offer in the next few hours’, with Sevilla ‘also interested’.

In fact, RMC Sport state they are simply waiting for Boly to head to Nottingham Forest before making the offer for the Strasbourg man.

As things stand, Wolves have Max Kilman, Nathan Collins, Yerson Mosquera and Toti as their centre-back options, which isn’t what Lage would have wanted when he started the season.
