Starting a while back, the stories sending Rafael Leão from Milan to Wolverhampton Wanderers are picking up some pace.
We’ve seen an increase in mentions in the Italian media of late, and Corriere dello Sport are no different on Friday, as they look at what the future holds for both the Portuguese and Jens Petter Hauge.
Milan are prepared to sacrifice one, not both, and, as things stand, it’s the Norwegian who looks likeliest to leave.
That being said, it’s made clear that Wolves ‘have put Leão in their sights’, and the team now managed by Bruno Lage ‘are said to be advancing in talks’ with Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent.
In fact, Corriere go as far as saying that ‘it’s possible that a proposal may be formulated to Milan in the next few days’.
We’ll have to see what happens going forward, but it appears things are getting a bit more serious, and with Mendes driving the deal, we all know Wolverhampton would have an advantage over any competition that dares step forward to challenge the Premier League side.
