It’s fair to say that youngster Ki Jana Hoever has not been having the best of times with PSV Eindhoven since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer.

The defender made the temporary switch back to the Netherlands in search of regular playing time, which hasn’t been on offer at Wolves since his move from Liverpool in September 2020.

The hope was that he could be a regular under Ruud van Nistelrooy this season and get the playing time he needs to further his development and give his career a much-needed shot in the arm.

That’s not proven to be the case for him, though, with seven appearances to his name in all competitions so far but just 393 minutes and two starts in the league.

He’s faced plenty of criticism, particularly in pre-season, and it seems his problems have not been consigned to the pitch.

Algemeen Dagblad, relayed by Soccer News, report that the Wolves youngster has now found himself the subject of a burglary.

They explain that Hoever’s flat was broken into during the recent clash between PSV and Feyenoord, with the perpetrators looking for jewellery belonging to the footballer.

Hoever was not a part of the game but was present at the Philips Stadium during the burglary, whose perpetrators are yet to be found.

The Wolves man is not the first Eredivisie player to have been targeted, with Ajax’s Dusan Tadic also attacked in the summer for his watch.

PSV’s Eran Zahavi was also the victim of a burglary last year.
