Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patrício may already be in action for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the problems with his former club Sporting are far from over.

The 30-year-old, who has rescinded his contract with the club after the fans’ attacks at the Alcochete Training Centre, still needs to be heard by the local authorities, as reported by Correio da Manhã today.

The newspaper claims that other players such as Rodrigo Battaglia, Bas Dost and Jeremy Mathieu have already spoken, but as Patrício is now playing in England, they’ll have to wait until he can make it to Lisbon.

Most of the players have been blaming the attacks to the former Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho, who would have planned it all. As Rui Patrício’s statement when breaking his contract had many references to it, his speech is now anticipated.

Meanwhile, other controversies around this case are still going on. Bruno de Carvalho fights to be the club president again, and Sporting continue to demand over €54m for the transfer Rui Patricio.
