Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are today both linked to Hungary international Milos Kerkez.
According to Portuguese newspaper Record, the Bees and Wolves are two of the sides who’d like to sign him from AZ Alkmaar next summer.
Kerkez has been doing very well for the Dutch side, with three goals and six assists this season so far, and that’s why his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The problem is that AZ Alkmaar are aware of his value, and if Brentford or Wolves come for him, the Eredivisie club are set to demand at least €20m.
It turns out his price tag isn’t the only thing that clubs should be concerned about, as the list of contenders for his signing is also something to raise their eyebrows.
Besides Brentford and Wolves, the likes of Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund and Leeds United are all said to be interested in him as well.
Record claims that Kerkez sees ‘with good eyes’ a move to the Portuguese club.
But since they’re planning to pay AZ Alkmaar less than €20m and offer them the percentage of a future move, perhaps that’s a good chance for English clubs to push cash on the table and present it as a better bid.
