For the past few months, there has been some growing interest in Gaëtan Laborde.
The Montpellier striker has scored six goals and assisted another five in 18 league appearances this season, with West Ham reportedly keeping tabs and even preparing an offer for the 26-year-old.
That being said, they aren’t the only Premier League team looking at him, with Eurosport in France claiming Wolverhampton Wanderers have also added him to their list.
Bringing back Patrick Cutrone from his disappointing loan at Fiorentina, Wolves seem to be in the business of plugging the gap left by Raúl Jiménez’s head injury, and while Fabio Silva finds his feet, someone like Laborde could fill in.
However, the Eurosport article also states no offer has been made for Laborde just yet, which was made clear by the Montpellier president earlier on Thursday in an interview with Le Figaro.
As for the player in all this, the website state he ‘doesn’t want to rush an exit’ from the French club where he feels comfortable, meaning that for him to leave, the offer would need to satisfy both club and footballer equally.
