Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that Sofiane Feghouli has agreed a contract with AS Roma, and all that is now in the way of a move is sorting things out with West Ham.

Of course, going by the book, the clubs would have to agree with each other before Roma should even be able to speak to Feghouli’s representatives, but then football transfers don’t work that way in reality.

The Italian newspaper believe pressure will now be put on West Ham to agree a move. Roma want an initial loan until the end of the season, and there’d be some sort of buying clause of around €12m.

It’s hoped, from an Italian perspective, that the deal can be concluded next week, and Feghouli start training with his new club, however, that all depends upon West Ham.

Whilst Feghouli hasn’t exactly been a runaway success at West Ham, he has been used by Slaven Bilic and the manager will surely want assurances on a replacement.
