Tottenham Hotspur loanee Bryan Gil has barely landed in Valencia, and it seems they already want him there for longer.
The winger signed for the La Liga side on a six-month deal, having little time to help them, and an extension is already a topic in the Spanish media.
Outlet Cadena Ser today features a piece which praises the Gil’s first performances for Valencia, claiming he ‘finally feels valued’ at a club following the playing time he’s been getting.
And according to their information, the Mestalla side are already planning to negotiate for a new deal, where the winger would have an extra season at the club.
Cadena Ser calls it a ‘win-in operation’.
That’s because Gil would continue having an important role at Valencia, meaning Tottenham, who’d also make another loan fee, could see him playing in Spain and consequently have more chances of making money with a future move.
The story makes it sound like Spurs would have no plans for Gil at the club, as if their only hope about his future is for a profitable sale.
If that’s really the case, then Valencia could indeed have more arguments to keep him, which could be exactly what Tottenham want.
