Barcelona are interested in West Ham United’s starlet Domingos Quina and on August 4th, Mundo Deportivo reported the 18-year-old’s sale could help the Hammers with Andre Gomes’ signing.
Sport now claims the La Liga winners are ‘working around the clock’ to facilitate the midfielder’s move to the Premier League. They have already received a ‘proposal’ from Manuel Pellegrini’s side, but the two clubs have still not reached an agreement for the 25-year-old.
Their proposal does not convince the former Benfica man and he’s asked for some time to consider his future. His first preference is to rejoin Valencia.
Gomes suffered an injury while on preseason tour and despite that, it’s claimed the English club’s interest in he the Portuguese international has not diminished. West Ham are working on several formulas to sign him and one of those even included offering Quina to Barcelona, according to Sport.
However, the Spanish champions did not accept the Premier League outfit’s proposal.
Ernesto Valverde’s side and West Ham are expected to continue to work as there is ‘willingness’ to ‘reach a final agreement’ for Gomes’ transfer.
