In the winter market, Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal to revive his career, after a disagreement with Erik ten Hag.

The winger scored in BVB’s league win over Werder Bremen and also found the back of the Champions League victory against PSV Eindhoven.

SportBild state the Manchester United owned player is starting to impress, after a slow start to his second spell with the Bundesliga side. The magazine points out a few reasons for it, including the 23-year-old taking care of himself.

During his first spell at Dortmund, the report states he would immediately take a private jet to England on his days off. That isn’t the case now and instead, he comes to training to carry out recovery exercises.

The German club have arranged an apartment for the England international, after he was at a hotel for weeks. BVB are doing everything they can to get the England international into top shape to face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final.

SportBild add Sebastian Kehl’s decision to bet on Sancho is ‘increasingly bearing fruit’.

His loan deal lasts until the end of the season and ‘there will be talks’ between BVB and Manchester United to discuss an extension.

It’s claimed the ‘most likely option’ for Dortmund, if there’s an agreement with Manchester United, is another temporary deal.

This contradicts Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg’s latest claim that BVB would be willing to pay €35m for Sancho, and that there will be fresh talks with the Red Devils in the coming weeks.
