PSV are ‘furious’ with Steven Bergwijn and his advisors, according to multiple reports coming from the Netherlands on Sunday evening.
The player is said to have contacted his coach on Sunday morning indicating he didn’t want to play this afternoon against FC Twente.
Tottenham interest was then reported, with some media claims stating the attacker had even travelled to London for a medical with Spurs.
This hasn’t gone down well at all, Bergwijn has no permission from his club to travel anywhere, and PSV director Toon Gerbrands is quoted by RTL as saying: “In that case, we will now stop negotiations.”
Eindhoven Dagblad say there’s absolutely no agreement between PSV and Tottenham right now. They report it’s unclear whether Bergwijn has travelled to London, and make it clear he has no permission to.
The Dutch club are ‘considering terminating negotiations’ with the Premier League side, who are said to have offered around €30m.
ED state Bergwijn’s camp suggest PSV aren’t telling the whole story.
