With Djurgårdens IF youngster Lucas Bergvall making a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, the Swedish media has always made it clear that Dejan Kulusevski will be waiting to take care of him in London.
The duo may not know each other very well yet, but they’ve already said that they’ll be working together to help the 18-year-have a good adaptation at the Premier League club.
As Swedish outlet Aftonbladet today shares a long interview with Kulusevski, they couldn’t avoid asking him about Bergvall. He started by saying that the two haven’t had much contact at this stage.
Kulusevski, who hasn’t had many Swedish teammates at the clubs he’s been at, was asked about what he expects from having Bergvall around.
“It will be special, it will be fun. It’s nice to be able to speak Swedish too and talk to Lucas. We still have the same culture and the same background. It will be fun to talk to him and see his reaction to coming to the Premier League.”
Aftonbladet also asked Kulusevski about the advice he’d give Bergvall.
“There is a lot of stuff, see the big perspective day by day. Get better and don’t think too much, but just think about getting better every day.”
Tottenham spent €10m to sign Bergvall from Djurgårdens IF, reportedly beating Barcelona in the race for the youngster.
Despite still being a teenager, the midfielder had 47 appearances for his club, with nine goals and six assists. He also made his debut for Sweden’s first team back in January this year.
