Despite the end of the European transfer window, there’s still a chance Philippe Coutinho could leave Aston Villa.
That’s said by the Brazilian media, who insists that Corinthians remain interested in signing the 30-year-old.
A story from Goal claims that despite being considered ‘very hard’ by all parties involved, a deal is still possible.
They even managed to speak to the player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, who confirms the winger’s exit from Aston Villa could happen soon.
The outlet writes that the representative is among those ‘most cheered’ to try and get this move to happen.
The biggest problem is obviously financial, as Coutinho’s salary is too big and the Villans would like a fee to let him go, after spending €20m to sign him from Barcelona not so long ago.
On deadline day, Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte had already published a similar story where they managed to quote Kia Joorabchian talking about that possibility.
“We will see! There is still a long way to go in the Brazilian market. Let’s see what happens.”
Corinthians are just said to be a little unmotivated about the transfer because Coutinho himself hasn’t been showing great desire to make the move, but it seems that if it depends on his agent, then they will do their best to get that done.
