Just like Manchester City, Argentina are also wondering about when they’ll have Sergio Aguero back on playing for them.
With injury struggles for one year now, the striker’s future continues to be in doubt, even though he’s now rejoined the Premier League side’s squad in the final part of his recovery.
Speaking to the English press, Pep Guardiola admitted the player may not be in good form to immediately have his place back in Manchester City’s team, and that’s why he’s doubtful for tonight’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Now in more pessimist news, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni claims Aguero shouldn’t be completely fit even by the end of the month.
The national team boss has spoken to the local press on Tuesday morning, and when quizzed about the squads which will face Uruguay and Brazil on the 26th and 30th of March, he admits the striker could be called up, but may not be ready for the two games.
“I spoke with him a month ago and hopefully he can pick up the pace”, said Scaloni (via TyC Sports).
“In the next week we will decide the final list and he’s always under consideration, but he has to be in the best conditions and we know that he will not reach 100%.”
