There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are set to miss out on Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, with the player on the verge of agreeing a return to Celtic.
In recent days, the Scotland international has been linked with a return to Celtic and a possible reunion with Brendan Rodgers.
Fotomac report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for the Arsenal player as Jose Mourinho continues his search for a left back.
The Istanbul side sold Ferdi Kadıoğlu to Brighton & Hove Albion during the summer and with a long-term injury to Jayden Oosterwolde, Mourinho needs to address this position.
The Portuguese coach seems to have solved his problems in central defence after claims Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos will be signing for the Super Lig giants.
However, Mourinho will have to look elsewhere for a left back, with reports Tierney will be joining Celtic. He’s reportedly in talks with the Scottish club despite reports in Turkey that the player has been offered to Fener via agents.
There have also been claims in the UK media that Tierney is closing in on a return to Celtic, five and half years after leaving the Scottish champions for Arsenal.
Tierney’s contract with the Gunners expires in the summer.
