Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali has had a pretty couple of weeks.

He won the Carabao Cup with the Magpies and some days after that, he scored for Italy in the UEFA Nations League quarter-final first leg against Germany.

All of it defines how his influence at Newcastle United has certainly increased over the past few months and InterLive have reported about the Italian’s situation in some detail.

They state that as Inter Milan have tried to sign the midfielder in the past few months, openings were presented by intermediaries around the 24-year-old.

Their work in the market led to links with multiple clubs and that is why the Nerazzurri believed that they had a chance of signing him from Newcastle United.

Now, things have changed. Tonali is at the ‘epicentre’ of things at St James’ Park and the belief is that only an astronomical figure will be needed to bring him away from Eddie Howe’s side.

Inter, at one point, thought they had a chance to land him but that has now slipped away.
