The success of Emiliano Buendía at Norwich City has been approached in a story from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today.
The website managed to get an interview with agent Gustavo Gomes, who has the Canaries’ star as one of his clients, and talked about the great season he’s been having in the Championship.
The website mentions that Buendía is currently considered the ‘most expensive’ player in the league all the while putting up ‘the best performances’, and the representative made it clear he was happy about his client’s form.
“Another reason to be proud,” Gustavo Goni told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“Already in the first season, in the Premier League, he showed that he can be a protagonist and now, after relegation, he’s shown that he’s matured. He’s becoming an absolute crack, next season in the Premier…”
With 10 goals and 13 assists in 32 appearances so far, Buendía is currently having his best season in England to date since moving from Spanish side Getafe on a €1.5m deal back in 2018.
This has obviously led to some transfer rumours on his future, which is why TuttoMercatoWeb asked Gustavo Goni which Premier League club the player will be at next season.
While he could have easily dismissed them, he, instead, left the door open for any possibility: “Whether he’s at Norwich or at other interested clubs, we will see it in complete tranquillity”.
