Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has confirmed they’ve signed Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye on a loan deal.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move to the Super Lig side in recent weeks as he looks to return to Turkey. The Stoke player spent last season on loan with Galatasaray.

Speaking to Bein Sports Turkey about the latest developments at the club, Agaoglu said the deal for Ndiaye is completed and he will join the Trabzon club: “We’ve reached an agreement with both Ndiaye and his club. We are waiting for tomorrow. Once we get the confirmation that we can make transfers, we will announce the deal.”

Trabzonspor’s president also said that his club have a redemption clause for the Senegal international but didn’t give any information about how much it is: “We have the option to buy him at the end of the loan spell. Let’s see what will happen but we are hoping that he will make a strong contribution.”

Ndiaye, who previously played for Galatasaray and Osmanlispor, is now set for a return to the Super Lig.

The player was part of the Gala squad which won last season’s league title.

He’s made 13 appearances for the Potters this season and is under contract with the Championship club until June 2022.
