Chilean youngster Manuel Vivanco has revealed that Crystal Palace have expressed an interest in bringing him to Europe.
The Chilean edition of AS have an interview with the 18-year-old today in which he reveals Crystal Palace have made it clear that they’d welcome him to Selhurst Park with open arms.
The newspaper explains that Vivanco is a Chilean footballer born and raised in the Pehuenche community of Butalelbun, in Alto Biobío.
He’s currently focused on making it to the top leagues in Europe and, despite not currently having a team, is getting closer to making that happen.
Vivanco has been bouncing round various sides in his homeland look to establish himself and that saw him link up with the Agenzia Di Talenti agency, who work alongside the Mussato Dello Sport academy.
That link helped him head to The Showcase in Madrid last year, a platform for aspiring footballers to display their talents to top scouts from professional European clubs. They’ve helped various youngsters to get deals with clubs in Spain since their inception, with success stories linked on their website.
Vivanco is looking to be one of them and revealed he’s got particular interest from Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
“I was there for six days,” he said.
“As soon as I arrived, I realised it was a different world; my mind was opened; I couldn’t believe it. We met at the Royal Spanish Federation with the coaches and club scouts.
“After the last day of trials, someone from Crystal Palace spoke to me, but I didn’t understand English, haha.
“Someone from the FootLabs agency helped me get in touch, and they asked if I could stay another week and go to England, but since I had my parents’ notarised permission, I couldn’t stay longer.
“Anyway, we’ve been in touch, and they told me they would welcome me with open arms. Someone from Venezia in Italy also contacted me, but it remained the same.”
