Amid the doubts regarding the future of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, this week there were positive updates on West Ham’s chase for the player.

Newspaper Tuttosport published a story saying ‘his suitcases are now ready’, as the 23-year-old had the Hammers as his next destination.

The situation, however, may not be so simple, as a story from Calcio Mercato now says the negotiations for Milenkovic are currently ‘frozen’.

It’s claimed the talks have been ‘slowing down’, and a deal will only be discussed again after the 20th of August.

The website doesn’t make it clear what the problems are. All they say is that Fiorentina currently value the player at €15m, and that price is allegedly the reason why Juventus gave up on the chase for him.

Tuttosport had claimed that West Ham are spending €16m on the transfer, which is of course higher than the €15m figure. There had been earlier suggestions that the final details which needed to be agreed related to agent commissions, so there’s a possibility it’s that causing the problems.
