Torino’s chase for West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic today gets a new update from the Italian media.
It’s now CalcioMercato.it who confirms the chase, claiming this is the second time manager Ivan Juric has asked for the signing.
The transfer had already been requested by the coach a few months ago, but according to the story, West Ham had been demanding €30m for the sale, which was around the same price they spent to sign him from CSKA last summer.
Now Calcio Mercato claims the Hammers are going easier with the talks. It’s said the London side are ‘open’ to a loan, as long as Torino have an obligation to buy for a ‘significant amount’.
The Serie A side, meanwhile, want to get at most to a right of redemption. So the clubs are now said to be negotiating and working ‘with discrete optimism’ for the move to happen.
On Friday morning, we had already seen reports from Italy claiming Torino were looking to sign the West Ham player ‘in the next few hours’, so it seems the talks are indeed advanced.
