Gianluca Scamacca is getting closer to a West Ham move, with the Sassuolo player having warmed to the idea of signing for the Hammers.

Alfredo Pedulla reports the Serie A side will accept an offer worth €40m plus a further €7m in bonuses for the attacker. PSG had been linked to the player, but it’s reported they haven’t really moved forward with their interest and that has presented an advantage for the Premier League club.

Scamacca has now ‘said yes’ to the move, and the report explains the player has been attracted by the charms of living in London, as well as the chance to play in the world’s most high profile football league.

West Ham, Sassuolo and the player’s representatives are now ‘working to define’ the signing, with there being clear optimism that the player is set to sign for David Moyes’ side.

The Hammers being an ‘ambitious club’ is also seen as a positive.

Paperwork for the transfer could be completed ‘by the weekend’, although it’s possible an announcement would be at the beginning of next week given the nature of these things.
