West Ham United are set to battle it out with Rennes for the signing of midfielder Steven Nzonzi before the end of the window.

Nzonzi is currently on loan at Galatasaray, but he finds himself out of favour at the club after a training ground incident.

It’s looked likely he would leave the Turkish club this month and move somewhere else and, according to Le 10 Sport, that will be to either West Ham or Rennes.

According to them, the midfielder is set to leave Turkey and wants extra playing time ahead of Euro 2020. He has two final offers in front of him.

They are from West Ham and Rennes, who are the last two clubs ‘vying’ for his signature before the end of the transfer window.

Rennes are looking for an experienced midfielder, but Nzonzi is also in discussions with the Hammers, who are looking for reinforcements to help push them away from a relegation battle.

Nzonzi, therefore, has to choose between either West Ham or Rennes, with a decision to be made ‘in the coming days’.
