The theme on Edin Dzeko and West Ham United over the past week or so has been clear from Italy. Agents have been trying to build a move for the AS Roma player, after he had a huge disagreement with manager Paulo Fonseca.
Bridges were broken and it’s not been thought they can be rebuilt so easily.
So agents got to work, looking for clubs who need a striker during the current transfer window. Obviously, West Ham was pretty close to the top of the list. However, Dzeko had been said to be against a move to the Hammers this month, feeling he could aim a bit higher than the London club.
With a day left of the window, Dzeko doesn’t seem to have a lot of options, and ASRomaLive report West Ham is the ‘only viable destination’ for him right now, with the Hammers the only club keen on a move.
Should that be true and should it remain the case, then Dzeko will have to make a decision over chancing not playing at Roma or getting minutes under David Moyes at West Ham.
Juventus have again rejected the idea of signing Dzeko, and there’s an outside chance Tottenham could come into the picture.
