According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is a target for West Ham United.
It’s been reported by the Turkish newspaper the London side are interested in bringing in the Frenchman, who’s previously worked in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Comolli received strong criticism in the Turkish press last year because of his poor choices in the transfer market, after he signed the likes of Andre Ayew and Islam Slimani. The Yellow Canaries spent most of the season battling relegation, yet finished 6th after winning their last four games.
This summer it seems Comolli’s work in the transfer window has been approved by both the Super Lig club and their fans, but Fanatik say he could leave Fenerbahce for West Ham.
The Premier League side currently have Mario Husillos as their sporting director and he’s working closely with Manuel Pellegrini. Husilios has been busy in this window and yesterday he got the Sébastien Haller transfer over the line.
Comolli still has two years left on his current Fenerbahce contract which could prove a problem for the Hammers… if there’s any truth in the claims
