Three days ago, Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini stated West Ham United and Real Madrid are in the picture to sign AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw.
The centre-back has made nine starts this season and has become an ‘absolute essential’ under Stefano Pioli which has seen him draw attention from the Hammers and the La Liga side.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the 22-year-old is subject to ‘sirens’ from the Premier League and La Liga.
From England, West Ham are named and are said to have made contact with the defender’s agent.
The outlet explains that the Serie A side paid €6m to Schalke to sign the player in 2022 and offered him a deal until 2027.
It’s said David Moyes’ side are ready to table an offer worth €20m to convince the Rossoneri to let go of the Germany international. Along with the UEFA Conference League winners, Real Madrid are also in the mix but they are only watching him closely for now.
Thiaw, for his part, feels happy at the San Siro and has no intention to leave for at least the next two years. The report states he earns €800,000 per year and Milan want to reward him with a new deal that will see him triple his salary.
Despite West Ham’s desire to sign Thiaw, he’s ‘destined to continue’ at the Italian club.
