Milliyet’s Besiktas journalist Serdar Saridag claims West Ham United are in pole position to sign Croatian international Domagoj Vida.
Yesterday, we covered two different sources that West Ham United have made two bids for Vida, with Sabah claiming the figure is €22m, and NtvSpor saying it’s €18m.
Like Sabah, Milliyet also report West Ham have offered €22m to sign Vida, and the Hammers are also prepared to pay the majority of the transfer fee in one go.
It’s claimed Besiktas may accept the offer from the Premier League club, and according to their information, West Ham are currently favourites to sign the player.
According to Milliyet, Besiktas are preparing for Vida’s departure, and they’ll use the money to pay off their debts and cover player and staff costs.
Milliyet say Besiktas president Fikret Orman and head of transfers Umut Guner will meet with the Turkish club’s manager Senol Gunes regarding Vida, when a decision will be made over selling the Croatian.
