West Ham United may have to offer up to €40m if they are to convince Sevilla into selling Youssef En-Nesyri this month.

That’s according to Marca, who also say the Hammers are eyeing up Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose in their hunt for a new striker.

The Hammers are desperate to add a new striker to their squad this month, with David Moyes confirming they want competition for Michail Antonio after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax.

En-Nesyri appears to be their number one target and reports in England yesterday claimed they had seen a €30m offer rejected.

That was backed up in Spain today, where it was made clear across various publications that West Ham had some work to do to convince Sevilla and the player to sanction the move.

Those same reports suggested some at Sevilla would sanction a sale for a bigger price given the current economic climate and Marca back that up, stating that they ‘do not close the doors to a better offer’.

Indeed, the newspaper asserts that if a new offer was to reach €40m, the Spanish side will ‘sit down and consider’ a sale.

The player is not keen on a move and would prefer to stay, meaning both Sevilla and West Ham would have some convincing to do on that front too.

Should he depart, Sevilla would go looking for a replacement as Julen Lopetegui doesn’t fancy number three option Carlos Fernández.

He’s a target for Sociedad if they can get rid of Willian José, who, according to Marca, is also a target for West Ham. That’s presumably as an alternative to En-Nesyri, whose price seems to be rising by the hour.
