Nikola Kalinic is a man of many transfer rumours.

The 30 year old moved from Fiorentina to AC Milan in August 2015 and before that had been linked with several Italian clubs, others around Europe, and even a switch to China.

Rumours haven’t stopped and over the past week there have been many claims in Spain and Italy about a move to Sevilla. It was talked up to be almost a done deal, but AS say West Ham are now involved.

The Spanish newspaper say Kalinic to West Ham is now ‘more on track’ than a move to Sevilla. With the La Liga side wanting a loan deal and West Ham willing and able to pay for a permanent transfer, so according to AS the English club have a distinct advantage.

Hammers interest seems somewhat surprising. Kalinic is 30 years of age, his goalscoring record is on the slide, and he didn’t exactly impress during a spell with Blackburn Rovers.

Perhaps West Ham are being used to pressure Sevilla.
