Diafra Sakho to Rennes is a transfer that won’t go away.

As the summer transfer window was closing, Sakho seemed to think a move to France was on, but West Ham pulled the plug and the player was left in one of the more comical collapses at the end of the market.

Earlier this month Rennes president Olivier Letang made it clear a Sakho transfer is a possibility in the coming window, but also stated the Ligue 1 club will be looking at several tracks. The French side clearly don’t want another drama with West Ham, and need to get themselves alternatives.

On Friday, L’Equipe have a look at possible transfers in and out of Rennes this winter, and Sakho of course crops up. With the January window opening in 10 days, Rennes are said to have around €10m to spend.

This one all depends on how attractive Rennes want to make their offer, and the stance West Ham take this time.
